Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how JobPilot ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our job-search and learning platform.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — your username, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Profile & usage — job searches, saved roles, résumé inputs you provide, and course progress.
- Payment data — handled entirely by our payment provider (Razorpay). We never store your card or UPI details; we only keep a payment reference and subscription status.
- Connected accounts — if you sign in with Google, GitHub, or Zoho, we receive your basic profile (name and email) from that provider. If you connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar to create and read interview and reminder events on your behalf.
- Technical data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide job matching, applications assistance, résumé tailoring, and courses.
- To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
- To send transactional emails (activation, password reset, receipts).
- To improve and secure the platform.
3. Connected accounts & Google user data
You can sign in with Google, GitHub, or Zoho, and optionally connect Google Calendar so JobPilot can add interview and reminder events for you. When you do, we access only what those scopes allow — your basic profile (name and email) for sign-in, and your calendar events for the scheduling features you enable. You can disconnect any provider at any time from your account page, which revokes our access.
Google API Services Limited Use. JobPilot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google Calendar or Google account data for advertising, we never sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except as needed to provide the feature you requested or where required by law. We do not use this data to train generalized AI/ML models.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate (e.g. our payment provider and email provider), under appropriate safeguards.
5. Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your account page, which permanently removes your profile and cancels any active subscription.
6. Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, hash passwords, and never store raw payment credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
